Finally! I am ready to show off my finished pair of the Hedera socks. The pattern can be found at Knitty. I used an alpacka yarn for these from Drops which made them soft and fuzzy, but not as durable as a pair of wool socks. It does not matter much to me. I am so proud to have finished a lace project. 
Even though it took me months to finish… If only I had known about the power of a full-scale Second Sock Syndrome before.

I am not completely happy with the how the gusset fit. They are a little too big for my feet and I will probably not use the method in the pattern for any future socks. It is not a big deal, not enough to have me re-knit them. I simply dream of home-made socks with a perfect fit.
