We are finally back from our vacation in Gränna and I feel extremly rested and relaxed. Almost too much so, since I could already feel the familar and annual pang of autumn creativity stirring. It could also be the new little baby somersaulting in my tummy. In just a few days we will do the ultrasound scan and know a bit more about the little one. I feel anxoius, curious and happy. ![]()
I cannot say that I have knitted much, but I did finish Mollys Headband from Interweave Knits “Sweet Somethings”. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of it before I gave it to a good friend. I guess I will have knit another headband just to take a proper picture. Since it was a fun and quick knit I am actually looking forward to it.
I also started what I thought would become a Little Arrowhead Scarf (also from IKs Sweet Somethings) in Debbie Bliss silk yarn. Sadly, it just had to be frogged. The pattern is beautiful, but it did not do the silk all the justice it asked for. Too much of that lovely silky luster was lost in the pattern and I decided to go for a simple straightforward pattern. I plan to add a lace border in another yarn, maybe linen or mohair. What do you think, could it work to add a completely different yarn as a kind of decoration?
